Abergavenny pub, The New Inn, can be turned into homes
6:50am Tuesday 19th March 2013 in News
A VACANT pub in Abergavenny can be turned into a home after Monmouthshire council approved the plan.
The New Inn public house, Hereford Road, Mardy, ceased trading in 2011 and a buyer could not be found at auction in July.
The agent Alastair Bird, on behalf of Assured Property Group submitted a separate application to build two homes on the pub’s car park and adjoining land. Planners have also approved plans for parking and an amenity space to be created as part of the landscaping works.
