AROUND 2,500 people flocked to this year’s Raglan Music Festival.
The three-day event was held in venues across the village, from the Ship to the Baptist Chapel.
More than 40 acts ranging from classical to rock, soul and jazz performed at the festival, now in its ninth year.
Among the performers were pupils from Raglan Primary School, who opened the festival with a concert on Friday, to headliners Bon Giovi – a tribute act to New Jersey rockers Bon Jovi who closed the festival at The Beaufort on Sunday night.
Other acts to take to the stage were Lounging About, indie rock band Peasant King, The Mighty Pledge and Raglan singer Pennie Ray.
One of the festival organisers, Kim Knight, said: “We were absolutely thrilled with the weekend, having achieved our aim of creating a buzz in the village.”
“The weather was good, the music was great and we were really pleased to see the locals with smiles on their faces.”
She said the festival committee would like to thank all involved for their support over the weekend: local businesses that sponsored the event; volunteers who stewarded the concerts, and; all the people who attended the events.
