Henllys Way post office to open later and Sundays

CWMBRAN residents can look forward to an extra 50 hours per week in which they can buy stamps and weigh their parcels when the town’s Henllys Way Post Office expands and modernises from October.
The post office will be renovated as a new ‘main’ style open-plan branch, with longer weekday hours and all-day Saturday and new Sunday opening, from October 1.
This means opening hours for customers will more than double.
A car tax service will also be introduced.
The new-look post office will open from 5am until 7pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, with the service open from 5pm until 7.30pm on Wednesday and Saturday.
Post Office regional network manager for Wales Adrian Wales said: “I am delighted to announce that we are to transform Henllys Way Post Office into one of our new main- style branches.
“We understand how important having a post office is to residents in the area and we are confident that this new modern post office service will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future."
He added: “This modernisation is part of a three-year investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office, that will see around 6,000 branches (about half the Post Office network) converting to new-style branches."
“This investment makes a commitment to no more branch closure programmes.”
