A TORFAEN Elvis impersonator was named second-best tribute act at Europe's biggest Elvis event this weekend.
Darren 'Graceland' Jones, from Sebastopol near Pontypool, came second at the Porthcawl Elvis Festival to 17-year-old newcomer Chris Tierney from Birmingham.
Last year Mr Jones was named Best Welsh Elvis at the festival, which for the tenth year running saw thousands of Elvis fans descend on the seaside town to celebrate The King.
Earlier this year the King of Rock'n'Roll helped Torfaen council scoop a PR award and more than 400,000 YouTube hits for his work singing 'In The Depot', a take on Elvis Presley's 'In The Ghetto' which described Torfaen council's gritting policy for cold weather.
Mr Jones, 41, who impersonates Elvis as a hobby but works at a Cwmbran factory full-time, said he was gobsmacked at the reaction to the video and said people from Australia and America had left comments on the viral hit.
