CROESYCEILIOG School’s performed their Christmas musical We Will Rock You last night and further performances will be held tonight and tomorrow.

In the production, Kelsey Oliver plays Khashoggi, Chris Davis plays Galileo, Jessica Doolan fills the role of Scaramouche, Heather Plow is Killer Queen, Sizwe Chitiyo takes the part of Britney Spears and Geri McNamara is Meat.

About 60 pupils from Year 7 to Year 13 feature in the show and performances start at 7pm. Tickets are £7 for adults, £5 for concessions and £20 for a family ticket for two adults and two children.

It has been organised by the school’s head of drama Jonathan Willis and head of music Neil Parker. Auditions were held at the beginning of the school year in September and rehearsals started later that month.

Mr Willis said: “We did Hairspray last year so we decided we wanted to do something completely different this year.”

We Will Rock You features the songs of Queen. It was written by Ben Elton and was first shown in London’s West End in 2002.
