A GROUP of 20 Torfaen parents and their children took part in the first ever Giant Wiggle fund-raiser.

Children’s centres, nurseries and groups for under-fives across the UK hosted sponsored Giant Wiggle events to celebrate the Very Hungry Caterpillar Day.

The day marks the start of the 45th anniversary of Eric Carle’s book and Action for Children’s 145th year.

The event in Pontypool saw a group of under-fives wiggle along in giant caterpillar conga lines, storytelling and creative activities.

All funds raised will be donated to Action for Children.
