LIVE: Torfaen Shared Resource Service fraud trial

THE trial of two men charged with conspiracy to commit fraud and false accounting at Blaenavon’s Shared Resource Service (SRS) is due to begin today.
Farooq Dastgir, 53, of Coed Camlas, Pontypool and Gary Inchliffe, 52, of Beechcroft, Trelewis are charged with false accounting.
Dastgir is also charged with misconduct in a public office.
The trial is due to start today at Cardiff Crown Court with the swearing in of the jury.
The SRS at Victoria House, Blaenavon, was opened in 2011 and was designed to be the IT nerve centre for Torfaen and Monmouthshire councils and Gwent Police.
