THOUSANDS of visitors to Caldicot Castle will see live action battle re-enactments this Bank Holiday weekend.
Now in its third year, Fortress Wales is the largest event of its kind which brings together 600 actors from various historical re-enactment groups from all over the UK and Europe.
Re-enactments throughout the two day-event include Medieval, Wild West, the First World War, the Second World War and the Vietnam Conflict.
Caldicot Castle is supporting the Royal British Legion this year and will be marking the 100th anniversary of the First World War with a poppy mortar at the end of each day to show remembrance of those lost in the great war.
Fortress Wales takes place between May 4 and 5. Tickets are £10 for adults while children and concessions are £5. Children under five go free.
