PUPILS from Pontypool, who triumphed in the F1 in Schools 3D Jaguar Challenge at the Celtic Manor, have created a video of their experience.
On April 7, the South Wales finals of the competition saw Pontnewynydd Primary School pupils competing against 21 other teams from all over South Wales.
Team Lightning Bolt won the best portfolio and pit display award and also won first place in the competition overall.
The pupils have created a video using the TV production studio at their school to highlight what they did and released it on You Tube.
The video highlights how the children researched F1 car designs over the years, designed logos for their team brand, designed and produced merchandise, and used ProDesktop 3D software to design model race cars.
Team Lightning Bolt will now represent South Wales in the F1 in Schools Jaguar Challenge UK Finals which will be held at the Ricoh Arena in June.
The team will compete against the best schools from North Wales, England, Ireland and Scotland for the top spot of UK Champions for 2014.
