A NURSERY in Pontypool is showing its passion for healthy teeth and gums by supporting National Smile Month.

Osbourne Lodge Nursery have teamed up with the British Dental Health Foundation to celebrate National Smile Month.

The awareness month aims to improve the oral health of children.

Nursery children will be taking part in a number of fun activities, all of which help them to learn the three key messages which are brush for two minutes twice a day, cut down on how often you have sugary food and drinks and visit the dentist regularly.

Goodie bags are also ready to help the families to learn about the importance of good oral health.

The nursery is also running a competition with the Pontypool Town Centre traders who have joined in the fun.

Many traders took part and had their photos taken with this year's smiley mascot and the trader who gets the most ‘likes’ on their photo will receive a gift, courtesy of the nursery.
