PARENTS and children came out to play at an Abergavenny park on Wednesday at an event run by a Monmouthshire-wide project.
About 100 people attended a free play day event at Bailey Park in the town, which was set up by Dads Can.
It provided play equipment, a giant pirate ship bouncy castle and arts and crafts.
And it was held from 4pm until 7pm to accommodate working parents who wanted to bring their children to the event, Dads Can’s Dominic Pembridge said.
It was put on as part of the UK-wide Playday event, a celebration of children's right to play to highlight the importance of play in their lives.
Dads Can, which launched last year, already has 160 members signed up to its website and will be holding smaller, similar pop-up park events across Monmouthshire soon.
