A FATHER and daughter photography duo are celebrating after their joint efforts saw them named Welsh Wedding Photographer of the Year.

Keith Beesley, based in Griffithstown, and daughter Elise, won the accolade when their company, Imagine That Studios, swept the board at the Master Photographers Association Awards winning five categories including the overall title for Wedding Day Celebration.

Mr Beesley, 55, who started the company in 2006 while he was recuperating from a brain haemorrhage, said: "Winning the award has been an accolade we have wanted for sometime and after a great deal of hard work and commitment we've finally got there."

Previously an accountant and former minister at Griffithstown Baptist Church, Mr Beesley attributed his success to the emphasis that he places upon hand-finishing photographs and the inspiration he takes from artists such as Jack Vettriano.

The pair currently shoot up to 45 weddings a year at locations around the UK and Europe.

Miss Beesley, 25, said: "Wales has so many wonderful locations for creating amazing photographs and today so many brides want inspirational wedding photos. I feel like we're in the right place at the right time."
