A WOMAN who was seriously injured after being hit by a car in Abergavenny on Tuesday is in a critical but stable condition this morning.
The driver of the car, who was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
The incident happened on the A40 outside Nevill Hall hospital, when the 70-year-old pedestrian was hit by a Skoda hatchback.
The injured woman was taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
