PEOPLE seriously injured in a crash near Caldicot are in a stable condition in hospital today Gwent Police said.
They are appealing for information after yesterday's crash crash, between a Blue Peugeot 208 and a black Ford Focus, which happened near the entrance of the Wye Valley Archery Centre.
There were three occupants of the Peugeot - a 42-year-old man and two girls aged six and eight - all from the Bristol area.
The man and the six-year-old girl received serious injuries and were taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital. They are in a stable condition. The eight-year-old girl was not injured.
There were four occupants of the Ford Focus: a 30-year-old man who received serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital; a 29-year-old woman who received minor injuries; an 11-year-old boy who received serious injuries and was taken to the University of Wales Hospital, Cardiff and a seven-year-old girl who received minor injuries. All are local and all of those injured are in a stable condition.
The accident happened on the Crick Road, between Crick and Shirenewton at 1.05pm yesterday.
Police are appealing for anyone who have witnessed the collision to call them but also anyone who may have seen the vehicles beforehand to call them on 101 quoting log 281 21/9/14
