CELEBRITY chef and owner of a Monmouthshire restaurant , Matt Tebbutt, will appear on a TV cookery series ‘Kitchen Superheroes’ next week.

Mr Tebbutt who is head chef and owner of The Foxhunter at Nantyderry, near Abergavenny, is one of three ‘superhero’ chefs who comes to the rescue of six inept cooks from across the UK. Mr Tebbutt joins Rosemary Shrager and Lisa Faulkner on the Food Network UK series and will be seen helping a pensioner and a young mum-of-three to plan and cook a special feast for a loved one.

Viewers will see Mr Tebbutt work with 70-year old Andy Crossman, who has never cooked.

Mr Tebbutt said of Mr Crossman, a former boy band manager: “Andy is the nicest guy who didn’t have a clue about cooking. By the end of filming he had really embraced it and was fantastic.”

The series starts at 6.30pm on Food Network UK on November 17.
