Time for managerial change at Celtic

I've had enough of Gordon Strachan. Not because he picked the wrong team against Rangers, or his irritating habit of trying to be too clever by half. I've had enough because he says he doesn't need to explain to the folk who pay his wages why he dropped his best player for Celtic's biggest game in years.

His defence of this position, that he has dropped others such as Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink and Shunsuke Nakamura without offering an explanation, is indicative of the serious flaws in his make-up. He didn't require to explain why he dropped Vennegoor of Hesselink and Nakamura, because it was self-evident. They were playing badly and needed a rest. McGeady on the other hand, is playing out of his skin, so why drop him? If Strachan can't see the difference he is either a fool or blind with arrogance.

I've defended Strachan to my friends who claim that Celtic have won things in spite of him over his period of tenure at the club. His behaviour after the game on Saturday has caused me to change my view. Time for a change, whether or not Celtic win the league. Barry Docherty Glasgow Stand up, sit down? The alternative view

In reply to Alan Hopper (Fans With Laptops, May 8), ordinary fans certainly do deserve a say in the return of terracing.

The full atmosphere of football was changed irrevocably because of one badly designed ground.

If designers today actually went to grounds they would see what is required to make safe terracing.

There is little problem with segregation done properly, or with small sections of terracing for those who want to stand and put some atmosphere back into football. Andrew Williamson Fife Drogba got what was coming to him

While one must have sympathy for Chelsea for the tragic end to their European dreams, I hope someone will make it clear to Didier Drogba that, if he hadn't spent four minutes of the game rolling around the ground feigning serious injury, the referee wouldn't have added on four minutes of extra time - and Chelsea would have won.
