FALKIRK were told to get real last night after failing in a "derisory" bid for the Ross County defender, Martin Canning. The SPL side are understood to have tabled less for Canning than the pounds-20,000 package St Mirren offered County up front for team-mate John Rankin.
George Adams, County's director of football, said: "Falkirk did come in for Martin but, like the St Mirren offer for John, it wasn't remotely acceptable."
