NORSON Power, the Aberdeen-based engineering firm, has appointed industry veteran Les Graves to the board to help grow business by 50% in the next three years. Graves, formerly with PSL Group, specialises in pipelines and umbilical services - where subsea wells are located far from surface production vessels and long, flexible umbilical pipes are needed to connect them. The cleaning, testing, and pre-commissioning of these complex umbilicals represents 60% of Norson's (pounds) 11.5m turnover. However, its hydraulics business will remain at the core of its business offering, said Bill Bell, managing director.
