AN additional #4m in grant assistance for local authority projects to
help the mentally ill was announced yesterday by Lord Fraser of
Carmyllie, Scottish Health Minister. It brings the total grants for
1994-95 to #14m and will help to finance around 60 projects, most of
them managed by voluntary organisations. Almost 50,000 people will be
assisted by the projects in Scotland during the year.
