CONTROVERSIAL cage fighting is returning to Glasgow.
Max Xtreme, organised by Cage Wars Productions, will be staged at Braehead Arena on March 15.
The event was due to take place in November but was postponed following condemnation of it as "mindless violence".
Participants must be highly trained in mixed martial arts, such as jiu-jitsu, kick-boxing and amateur wrestling.
Jonny Burrows, spokesman for Cage Wars Productions, said: "We'll have some well-known fighters from abroad competing as well as some up-and- coming homegrown talent. We're delighted to return to Scotland - the historic home of many a great warrior."
When Cage Wars first visited the city last year it was slammed by Glasgow MSP Sandra White for "going back to the days of gladiators".
