COMEBACK star Lee McCulloch hasn't given up hope of making Rangers Uefa Cup Final squad.

McCulloch has been out of action since suffering a foot injury in the 2-1 defeat by Celtic on April 16. An appearance against Dundee United would put him back in the frame for the showdown against Zenit next Wednesday. He said: "Two weeks ago I thought my season was over, so it's good to have a bit of hope. To get a run-out tomorrow would be brilliant."

"The SPL making us play the games has spurred us on and made us focus on the league games more. But after tomorrow the excitement will really kick in."

Victory over United would put Rangers a point behind Celtic, at least until Sunday lunchtime when the Hoops host Hibernian.

But all thoughts will then transfer to Manchester and the club's first European final in 36 years.

"As far as Wednesday goes, everyone is really excited," the 29-year-old said. "It's been a long time since the club has been in a final like this so it's important we enjoy it and give the fans something to shout about."
