POP princess Kylie Minogue has arrived in Glasgow - well her clothes have.

And one of the first ones to see the light of day at Glasgow's Kelvingrove Art Gallery was a fantasy police outfit.

It is one of 45 costumes which feature in Kylie: The Exhibition, which has been carefully put together by Australian curator Margo Anderson.

A total of 200 objects highlighting the singing superstar's career will be on display when the public are finally allowed in next Friday.

They will include 60 photographs, accessories, album covers, sketchbooks, music and videos to show how her wardrobe helped create an image which is now known worldwide.

Two of the highlights of the event will be the gold lame hotpants she wore in her Spinning Around video in 2000 and the white hoodedjumpsuit she donned for the video of Can't Get You Out Of My Head.

The exhibition, which attracted 500,000 visitors in Australia and thousands more at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, will run until January.

Kylie said recently: "I've always enjoyed my visits to Glasgow and the people have always given me a very warm welcome in their city."
