QUEEN'S PARK gaffer Billy Stark is hoping the international break will have helped to revitalise his struggling Spiders.

After nine games in 30 days the Hampden side slumped to successive league defeats at the hands of Airdrie United and Raith Rovers. And Stark is determined to bounce back with three points at Alloa tomorrow.

He said: "Really, the international break couldn't have come quickly enough for us.

"Although it hasn't cleared up all our injury problems we are now fresh for the trip to Recreation Park.

"Hopefully, with Scot-land's great win in France the boys will also have got a lift and be determined to give it everything.

"Having already had a tight win over Alloa at Hampden we know it will be tough, but it's up to them to show me they are up for it."

However, Stark will be without crocked strike duo Robert Dunn and Paul Ronald, but Alan Trouten will return from suspension.

And Stark said: We are delighted to have Trouten returning. He is a big player for us middle-to-front, and can pick up where he left off."

In Division Three, Albion Rovers boss John McCormack has warned his side they must expect to fight tooth and nail at Elgin.

"They will be desperate for three points and we are going into this one off the back of two defeats," said Cowboy. "Something must give and attitude will be everything."

Rovers will miss Roddy Hunter and Kenny Wright.

Elsewhere, Dumbarton entertain Stenhousemuir.
