I’m both a cyclist and a driver. When driving, I use a road. When cycling, I use dedicated cycle paths wherever possible – which means I’m safer and less of a obstruction to other vehicles.
Cyclists who persist in using the road, sometimes two abreast, when there is a cycle route alongside are not only selfish, but have a higher chance of an accident.
GEOFF MITCHELL, Netley Abbey.
