TRAFFIC UPDATE: There is slow traffic on the northbound between Usk Interchange and the A40 junction in Raglan because of debris from the collision on the other side scattered on the road and people slowing to look at the accident on the opposite carriageway.

UPDATE: 8.40am

Part of the road has been closed in one direction after a one-vehicle collision on the A449 between Raglan and Usk, a police spokesman has confirmed.

He added that once the road is cleared of debris it will be reopened.

The southbound road is likely to be reopened soon.

A fire service spokesman said it is believed that one vehicle has been involved in the incident.

Crews are currently on their way to the scene.
