PARENTS and children who are  part of a Cirencester play group are enjoying new toys and facilities thanks to a cash donation from the town’s council.

In June the Cirencester Town Council agreed to give Chesterton Baby and Toddler Group, which formed last year, a grant of £500 so it could have an expansion, including the creation of a toy library.

The cash was recently spent buying a variety of items that are making children’s play more exiting such as rockers, a slide, a wendy house and building blocks.

Leader of the group, Sandra Walker said she was grateful to the council for the xash as it will allow the group to welcome more members.

She said: “They have given us the opportunity to hopefully grow the group.

“Last year we didn’t have enough toys.

“The fund comes at the perfect time, now we are hoping that we can get some more members.”
