BLACKWOOD town centre will transform into a winter carnival this weekend as the annual Christmas market comes to town.
Taking place on Saturday, December 5, 9am - 5pm and Sunday, December 6, 10am - 4pm, the market will spread food, entertainment and festive cheer across the town centre for a two-day period.
Alongside artisan food, unique craft stalls and high street shops, the event will host a Santa’s Grotto which will be located within Tidal’s Store furniture shop.
Children will have the chance to interact with excited elves and real reindeer and upon meeting Santa, will receive a gift to take home.
Street performers will peruse the market throughout the day including Jack Frost jugglers, toy soldier stilt walkers, roller skating snowman and naughty elves.
The Elf and Safety show will also perform their hilarious routine throughout the market at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm.
The market will also host exciting children’s fun fair rides and street entertainment under the illuminations of the Blackwood Christmas lights.
The event is free, apart from Santa’s Grotto, which costs £3.
