TEENAGER Callum Arnold needs a new all-terrain wheelchair so he can accompany his dad Dean when he goes cross-country running.
And the 16-year-old from Wern Gifford, near Pandy, got a fundraising boost from the church fair held at St Michael's in Llanfihangel Crucorney.
The church was packed for the event, opened by Monmouth AM Nick Ramsay, who said he was delighted to do his bit for Callum's cause.
“It's good to see the community fully behind this campaign," said Mr Ramsay.
“It proved to be a great way to raise funds for Callum. Let's keep up the momentum so we reach the £15,000 target as soon as possible, so Callum can be out with his dad enjoying the Monmouthshire countryside.”
Callum was born with Lesch Nyhan syndrome, a condition similar to cerebral palsy.
