WESTERN Power Distribution (WPD) is lending its support to the first ever blood cancer charity Bloodwise Spring Walk on Sunday, April 17.
The event, which will raise money for the blood cancer charity, will take walkers five miles through stunning scenery from Goytre Wharf past Llanover and back, along the beautiful Monmouthshire and Brecon canal.
Entry to the walk costs £6 for adults and £3 for children, with family tickets also available.
All money raised goes directly towards the charity’s life-saving research and patient support services.
The regional manager for Bloodwise, Rachael Davies, said: “We’re very grateful to Western Power Distribution for their support of this event. It’s important to us to work with local companies to raise awareness of blood cancers and to raise money for research.
"This is our first walk along the canal and we’re looking forward to the day. Everyone is welcome to join us, it’s really easy to sign up online or call the office to register.”
