FOUR people have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary following eight distraction incidents in Gwent.
Last month, Gwent Police appealed for information following eight distraction incidents which occurred across the area. Residents were targeted on: Heol Barri, Caerphilly, Wingfield Crescent and Glenview Terrace, Llanbradach, Heol Isaf, Nelson, Tydfil Road, Bedwas, Gladstone Street, Abertillery, Coronation Street, Trethomas and Newport Road, Magor.
The incidents involved a man calling at properties claiming that damage had been caused to rear windows with a catapult and asking for access to take a look.
The four people from Cardiff; three men aged 23, 36 and 50 and a woman aged 30, have been arrested in connection with all eight incidents.
They have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
