DURING the last four week's at the Penarth Bridge Club, members played the Teams of Four Club Championships which was won by T Campbell, S Brindle, R Hudson and T Tracy (63 international match points) from E Favager, T Ratcliff, H Davies and M Downey (50 IMPs).
Eric Favager, Roy Holloway, Tim Barsby with Steve Webb won the East Wales Bridge Association’s Patrick Jourdain Teams Event on October 9 in Cardiff.
On Friday, October 21, the club ran Annie’s Cup Final in memory of Annie Favager. This event was won by Joy Secular and Anne Johns with 59.58 per cent, from joint second place going to Tony Campbell and Simon Brindle, and Peter and Hazel Craig with 59.17 per cent.
During November, the club will continue to run a beginners session on a Thursday morning from 11am until 2pm.
