As part of his All Counties Craft Challenge in aid of mental health charity Mind, the crafter is travelling to every historic county in the UK, visiting craft shops to provide workshops.

On Friday, February 17, between 10am and 3.30pm, the crafter will visit craft store Artie Craftie in Broad Street, Blaenavon.

Nick Horler, of Artie Craftie, said: “We’re really pleased that he considered us within his journey around all the counties.

“We’re going to welcome him here and to get a celeb crafter here in Blaenavon is very good”.

Since opening in 2014, Artie Craftie has received several accolades, including scooping Welsh Government recognition as a ‘High Street Hero’ for its work as a community service provider.

The store is also Wales' only Dementia-friendly Post Office and arts and crafts shop and has been credited with helping to preserve Blaenavon’s Post Office when it faced closure.
