GOLF: Record turn-out for latest seniors' competition at Cirencester

CIRENCESTER Golf Club's seniors held an additional Bowmaker competition on February 20 with a record entry list of 93 players.
The well-contested event was won with 85 points on countback by Graham Clarke, Malcolm Bevan and Stuart Michaelis who pipped Mark Shipley, Michael Lindsey and David Dickson.
Third and fourth places were equally close with the team of John King, Ken Anderson and John Slaven (84 points) just edging ahead on countback of Charles Reed, Geoff Knight and John Canty.
The final place was occupied by Graham Marshall, David Golding and Robert Tweedale.
