INFORMATION is being sought on a former Gwent nurse.
The woman, known only as Maureen, worked at the St Lawrence Hospital in Chepstow.
She was a friend of Iris Jenkins, who also worked at the hospital, and now Mrs Jenkins’ family is seeking to find out who she is.
The pair are pictured together at the hospital in 1960.
Mrs Jenkins’ son, Ian, said the pair had remained close after retiring, and following the death of his mother in September 2016, his family found the picture.
He said he had been able to trace her to some addresses in Newport, but had no other luck.
The picture was taken when Mrs Jenkins, then known as Miss Batchelor, was undertaking her nursing training and would have been around 18 years of age.
The hospital, which has since been demolished, was well known for its burns unit.
