A CHARITY is calling on primary schools to sign up to a challenge.
The Noah’s Ark Charity is asking primary schools in Gwent to become superheroes for patients at Wales’ only children’s hospital.
They want schools to sign up to its first ever Big Schools Superhero Challenge, a sporting event where children run, walk or wheel either one or two kilometres dressed as their favourite superhero in return for sponsorship.
The idea for the event has been inspired by children treated at the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales.
By registering online, schools will get access to a download page containing a resource pack which includes sponsorship forms, letter templates and a costume guide.
The pack also contains an assembly presentation which links the activity to core skills in fitness, wellbeing and citizenship as well as the Curriculum Cymreig’s objectives around the development of cultural identity and belonging.
All resources are available in Welsh and English.
