WALES is “an afterthought” in the UK Government’s Brexit negotiations, Torfaen MP Nick Thomas-Symonds claimed in Parliament yesterday, Wednesday.
Addressing Welsh secretary Alun Cairns the Labour MP said he was concerned the section of the government’s Brexit White Paper on securing trade deals with other countries “contains no mention of Wales whatsoever”.
Mr Cairns replied Wales is represented on the Joint Ministerial Committee, which is made up of representatives of all four nations of the UK.
