MORE than a thousand people attended the popular annual Devauden Fete.
Visitors to the fete on July 8 enjoyed numerous stalls, a gymnastic display, a mini zoo, a children’s entertainer and family games. Adults and children also took part in a three-legged race and sack race, and, for the first time, there was a ‘partner carrying’ race.
A spokesman said: “This was topped off by a tug o’ war for all ages, finishing with a bout of men against women which the women won.”
Devauden organising committee chairman John Rowlands added: “This is our most successful fete to date, it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying themselves.”
