PROSPECTIVE students without a place to study this September are being invited to attend a clearing open day at the University of South Wales (USW) this month.
As students across the UK find out their A-level exam results, the university will be holding two informative events on Saturday, August 19, from 10am until 1pm and again on Thursday, August 24 between 3pm and 6pm at its three campuses in Newport, Cardiff and Pontypridd.
Visitors will be able to meet course tutors, speak to support staff, take a campus tour and view accommodation to find out more about the centres.
Clearing, while unorthodox, is a well-travelled route for many young people who want to further their education.
Sêra Evans-Fear, USW student recruitment manager, said: “Our Clearing Open Day is a great opportunity to find out more about the university, get your questions answered and finalise your application.”
For clearing advice, and to discuss courses that are available, those interested should call 03455 760606 or visit southwales.ac.uk/.
