THOUSANDS of people are expected to flock to Abergavenny for the return of one of the biggest food festivals in the UK.
Abergavenny Food Festival takes place over Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17, with chef demonstrations, talks, markets, tasting workshops and more.
This year’s festival is being supported by the sustainable bank, Triodos Bank. The bank’s food and farming expert Simon Crichton will give a talk on Saturday, September 16 at 1.15pm in The Farmyard.
Around 30,000 visit the festival each year - which is now in its 19th year- generating around £4 million impact for the local economy.
Aine Morris, chief executive of Abergavenny Food Festival, said: “This year’s festival is predominantly about real food, real farmers, and real chefs. Banks need to support our producers if we’re going to have a sustainable food system in the UK.”
