A RECYCLING centre is due to be closed because of 'unavoidable' repair work.
Viridor Recycling in Mitchel Troy, near Monmouth, is due to be closed on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
A spokesman for Monmouthshire County Council said: "This is due to unavoidable, essential repair work urgently needed to the waste compactor at the recycling centre."
The site is expected to be open as normal on Friday.
While it is closed, residents are advised to dispose of household waste at the recycling centre in Llanfoist, off the Heads of the Valleys Road A465, which can be accessed via Merthyr Road. Monmouthshire County Council and Viridor apologised for any inconvenience caused.
