A TEENAGER is celebrating after sealing his place at next year's World Scout Jamboree.

Fourteen-year-old James Creemer, from Raglan, will be representing Wales at the fun-packed jamboree in the USA after passing an interview and impressing in practical tests.

The Monmouth School for Boys pupil is a member of the White Dragon Explorer Scout Unit in Raglan.

James successfully completed an application form and passed a rigorous selection camp where he built bridges, cooked food and was interviewed by a panel of assessors.

The 24th World Scout Jamboree takes place at the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in West Virginia from July 22 to August 2, 2019.

It will bring together scouts from around the globe to experience new adventures, cultures, and friendships.
