A CONSTRUCTION college has seen a record number of students take up its apprenticeship courses.
ACE Training in Kidlington has hit the 100 apprentices mark for the first time since opening in 2011.
The college provides apprenticeships in a range of fields including brickwork and carpentry, and stressed a need to keep numbers up to help plug skills gaps in the industry.
ACE's managing director Adam Marsh said he was 'delighted' to hit the milestone.
But he added:"There is much more to do in order to solve major skills shortages.
"We need further and sustained investment in apprenticeships from the [construction] industry."
