GWENT Police are appealing for information after receiving reports of an assault on two women – leaving one unconscious and the other with facial injuries – in Pontypool.
The incident occurred at around 10.15pm on Friday, April 6 close to the branch of Nationwide and Greggs in George Street.
During the assault, one victim was left unconscious while the other woman sustained injuries including a fractured nose, cheek bone and eye socket.
Officers are looking for a man, who is alleged to have assaulted the pair, and woman.
The man is described as in his 20s, white, approximately 5’ 8” with blonde hair and was wearing a blue and white Adidas tracksuit.
The woman, also believed to be in her 20s, white with blonde hair, approximately 5’ 5”, of slim build and wearing a black leather jacket.
Anyone who was in the area at the time and may have information regarding the assault or those described by the police, is asked to call 101, quoting log reference 568 06/04/18.
