AWARD winning Welsh produce will be on sale at Pontypool Indoor Market on Thursday, September 6 for the market’s monthly Foodie Thursday.

On the menu will be Court Bleddyn Farm’s Tamworth Pork, which has been locally reared in the hills of Pontypool, local baker Bill King’s Great Taste Award winning sticky ginger bread, and market favourite Vin Sullivan’s Fish Shack.

The market will also be hosting a vegan bakery, a specialist hot sauce and chutney seller, artisan hot chocolate maker, and a wide variety of homemade cakes and sweet treats.

Traders will complement the market’s own butcher, delicatessen, fruit and veg stall, and bakery, and its existing offer of freshly prepared lunch time goodies including oven baked jacket potatoes, pies and pasties and home cooked meals.

Councillor Alan Jones, executive member with responsibility for business, said: “We have a really fantastic offer for our September Foodie Thursday and we are lucky to have secured a number of award-winning traders to bring their produce to the market.

“To keep bringing these fantastic food traders into Pontypool we need the public’s support and I would urge those living locally, or who work in the town, to pop in and have a look at what’s on offer.”

Foodie Thursday takes place at Pontypool Indoor Market on Thursday, September 6 between 10am and 2pm.
