Traffic backed up along the A48(M) towards Newport, as a result of the crash on the M4

Congestion has now cleared and traffic is moving freely.

All lanes have now reopened, with the vehicles moved to the hard shoulder - but traffic remains very slow, and the congestion resulting from the crash continues to affect the M4 and A48(M) approaching Newport.

A CRASH involving two cars is blocking the inside lane of the M4, eastbound between junction 29 (A48M) and junction 28 (Tredegar Park).
As a result, traffic is slow eastbound on the M4 and A48(M) around and approaching junction 29.
