ICE is set to be a problem for motorists and pedestrians in Gwent and much of the rest of Wales tomorrow morning.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for ice - starting at midnight and running until noon tomorrow - covering the whole of the UK with the exception of coastal areas in north and west Wales, and the south east of England.
The temperature across Gwent - taking into account a strengthening wind in the early hours - is expected to feel like -2C from around 4am until 8am, according to the forecast.
There is likely to be some ice on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
Newport, Monmouthshire, Torfaen, Blaenau Gwent and Caerphilly councils have confirmed gritters will be out on the roads this evening.
