It comes after Mr Tessio announced the closure of the shop due to personal reasons, as the Argus previously reported.

Saying he had been left devastated over the decision, Mr Tessio’s added: "Your faces will be what we miss most of all."

He also put a call out to entrepreneurs to get in touch to purchase the business.

Holy Cheesus proved hugely popular after it first opened in December 2017.

On its opening day it had to close early due to unprecedented demand.

Mr Tessio said of his creations: “I’ve been experimenting with the fillings with some positive results and some downright failures.

"This love of crafting the best grilled cheese sandwich, encouragement from friends and family eventually led me on to a business idea.”
