YOUNG rugby fans in Torfaen were able to get a look at the Six Nations Trophies which were at the Cwmbran Stadium last week.

As part of a Welsh Rugby Union tour around Wales, the famous Six Nations and Triple Crown trophies were at the Stadium, adorned with red Welsh ribbons.

Fans queued to have their pictures taken with the trophies.

The event coincided with the girls rugby and netball holiday camp at the Cwmbran Stadium, held in partnership with Dragons Rugby and Celtic Dragons Netball.

Angharad Collins, chief executive of Torfaen Leisure Trust, said: “This was a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase the Six Nations Trophies to the borough of Torfaen.

“Thank you to the community department of the WRU for giving us the opportunity.

“We are proud at Torfaen Leisure Trust to support many clubs and groups. In partnership with Dragons Rugby and Celtic Dragons, we hosted a girls rugby and netball camp.

“The look on their faces was priceless! Thank you to everyone who came and supported us.”
