Police have released an image of a man they would like to trace after a firearm is believed to have been discharged in a North East street.
Officers want to speak to Noman Asim in connection with a disturbance on Severus Road in the Fenham area of Newcastle at 10.30pm last Monday (March 18).
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "Officers attended the scene after it was suspected that a firearm may have been discharged. No one was reported to have been injured and a full investigation was launched.
"Asim, 32, is now wanted and is understood to be actively evading arrest. Extensive searches to locate him are ongoing and anyone harbouring Asim should know they also face prosecution.
