SOPHIE Harris, 17, of Sudbrook will sing at The Tan Festival in Shirenewton on Saturday, July 25 hoping to raise £5,000 for Diabetes Cymru.

Her younger sister Steph, eight, attends Durand Primary and suffers with type one diabetes. Her family wants to raise cash to help others living with diabetes in Wales.

The girls' mum Elaina Harris, 38, recalls how Steph was diagnosed just after her sixth birthday.

“It was a big shock in the beginning and was a lot to take in,” she said.

Tickets for the Tan House Festival cost £5, while children aged 14 and under go free.
